Regional SHICK Training Calendar - 2008

The following dates and locations have been scheduled for our SHICK Training this year. For complete details and to register, please call the "Coordinator Contact" who is hosting the training.

We do have a few areas left yet to schedule. We will post those trainings as soon as those dates are finalized.

Please study this schedule carefully - we have made some changes in the way training is presented. 

NEW COUNSELORS - You MUST attend all three days of the Initial Training (24 hours of face-to-face training required). The agenda will be the same at each location for each day. IF NECESSARY, you can attend at different locations as long as your coordinator is aware that this is what you need to do. You MAY attend the Update Day for Fun and Extra Information but it is NOT A REQUIREMENT.

UPDATING COUNSELORS - The Update Training Day is your day to focus on new information to add to what you already know and to bring questions and concerns experienced while counseling over the last year. To continue as an Active SHICK Counselor a total of 12 hours is required, this eight hour Update training is paramount. You will also need four more update hours. You will be responsible for getting these hours through the many opportunities now available. You may attend one or more days of the Initial Training if you wish, but those hours will NOT count towards the additional four more hours. You can talk with your Coordinator about the different ways to get these hours. The time‑line for accomplishing this is from now through March 31, 2009.
