The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed a $10,000 civil monetary penalty on Sunrise Assisted Living, 15055 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey on November 14-21, 2007.
The facility has the right to file an appeal.
