The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed an $7,000 civil monetary penalty on Kenwood View Nursing Home, 900 Elmhurst Boulevard, Salina.
The fine resulted from violations that significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey completed on August 14, 2007.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the penalties. The facility has 60 days to file an appeal.
