The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed a $10,000 civil monetary penalty on Chaucer Estates, LLC, 10550 East 21st St. North, Wichita.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted July 19, 23 and 24, 2007.
The facility has the right to appeal the fine.
