Atria Hearthstone East fined $4,400
The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed a $4,400 civil monetary penalty on Atria Hearthstone East, 3415 SW 6th St., Topeka.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted from May 21 and June 4-6, 2007.
The facility has the right to appeal the fine
