Windsor Place fined $7,000

The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed an $7,000 civil monetary penalty on Windsor Place, LLC, 2921 W. 1st St., Coffeyville.

The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey on May 8, 2007.

KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the penalties. The facility has 60 days to file an appeal.
