The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed a $10,000 civil monetary penalty for New Horizons of Pittsburg, 2702 N. Joplin St., Pittsburg.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted from Feb. 21 - March 1, 2007.
The facility has the right to appeal the fine.
