The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed a civil monetary penalty of $10,000 on Community Living Opportunities Inc., doing business as Ponderosa House, 1205 E. 26th St., Lawrence.
KDOA staff inspected the adult care home between May 8 and 24, 2006, and determined that the facility had violated rules and regulations established under the adult care home licensure act and that those violations resulted in, caused or posed serious physical harm to residents in the facility.
CLO has the right to appeal the assessment.
