The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed an $8,000 civil monetary penalty on Infinia at McPherson Inc., 1601 North Main, McPherson.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey on February 1, 2006.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the fine.
