The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed a $7,000 civil monetary penalty against Lakewood Senior Living of Pratt.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted by KDOA in on December 8, 2005.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the fine.
