The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed a $4,550 civil monetary penalty against Good Samaritan Center, 501 West Beeson Road, Dodge City.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted by KDOA in on October 11, 2005.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the fine.
