Diamond View Estates fined $10,000; admissions ban imposed

The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has imposed an immediate civil monetary penalty of $10,000 and a ban on new admissions for Diamond View Estates, 719 E. Diamond, Dighton.

KDOA staff inspected the adult care home between October 18 and November 1, 2005, and determined that the facility had deficiencies that significantly and adversely impacted residents’ health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility.

This order prohibits the facility from accepting new residents until the deficiencies are corrected. Once KDOA staff determines that the deficiencies are corrected, KDOA will lift the prohibition.
