The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed a $5,000 civil monetary penalty against Kansas City Presbyterian Manor, 7850 Freeman Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The fine resulted from a violation which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violation was identified in a survey conducted June 30, 2005.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the fine.
