The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has imposed a $3,250 civil monetary penalty against Medicalodge of Fort Scott, 915 S. Horton, Fort Scott.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified in a survey conducted March 22, 2005.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the fine.
