Admissions ban placed on Kansas Soldiers Home

The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has issued an order prohibiting Kansas Soldiers Home, 201 Custer Unit 98, Fort Dodge, from making any new admissions.

KDOA staff inspected the adult care home on May 9, 10, 11, 12 and 16, 2005, and determined that the facility had deficiencies that significantly and adversely impacted residents’ health, safety, nutrition or sanitation at the facility.

This order prohibits the facility from accepting new residents until the deficiencies are corrected. Once KDOA staff determines that the deficiencies are corrected, KDOA will lift the prohibition.
