The Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA) has been notified that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have imposed a $2,500 civil monetary penalty against Tender Loving Care by Tuten, Inc., doing business as Sunflower Meadows #2 at 5502 Polo, Wichita.
The fine resulted from violations which significantly and adversely affected the health, safety, nutrition or sanitation of the adult care residents of the facility. The violations were identified during a survey conducted Jan. 25 through Feb. 1, 2005.
KDOA conducts the facility surveys, but the federal agency imposes the fine.
