Long Term Care

handholding photoLong term care involves more than just nursing homes. It also includes assisted living facilities, homes plus and even in-home services.

In addition to providing information about the various kinds of long term care, the Kansas Department on Aging also is involved with helping seniors determine the best arrangement for meeting their needs through the CARE program. KDOA is involved with the licensing and surveying of long term care facilities and its costs. The agency also encourages facilities to adopt more resident-centered care through its PEAK program.

Both providers and seniors seeking living assistance will find information about these programs by clicking on the links at left.
