Senior Medicare Patrol - The Kansas Department on Aging's Senior Medicare Patrol works to prevent Medicare and Medicaid fraud and errors through outreach and education.
SHICK - Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas (SHICK) is a free program offering older Kansans an opportunity to talk with trained, community volunteers and get answers to questions about Medicare and other insurance issues. SHICK provides you with many resources that will help you with your struggle through the Medicare maze.
Long-Term Care Ombudsman - The office coordinates the work of long-term care ombudsmen, who act as advocates for residents of long-term care facilities across the state. The office works to improve the quality of life for residents of long-term care facilities across the state. It also recruits and oversees the efforts of volunteer long-term care ombudsmen.

- State Advisory Council on Aging
The Advisory Council on Aging is a statutorily created body, representing different geographical, social and ethnic groups, with at least half of membership being 60 years of age or older.
- Silver Haired Legislature
The Kansas Silver Haired Legislature (SHL) is a unicameral legislature composed of 125 representatives. All are over 60 and are elected from their county residence. The SHL develops bills and resolutions which are presented to the Kansas Legislature and the Governor as recommendations for state policy.
